Smarter Balance Testing Results
The Smarter Balance test is taken each Spring by our students in Grades 3-8 and 11. It tests proficiency in Math, Reading and Science. This report shows the annual results for our school on the South Dakota Smarter Balanced Test from 2014-Present.

United States Department of Education Office of Indian Education Native American Languages Program Grant Evaluation: Spring 2021
On March 30, 2021, the Project Director completed the self-analysis from The Guiding Principles for Dual Language Education. In this initial analysis of the assessment, the evaluator has extracted the “minimal alignment” ratings from the March 2021 self-analysis. This report will be shared with stakeholders and used to gather suggestions, ideas, and ultimately inform a plan for the steps needed to move toward the “exemplary” end of the alignment scale.

2022-23 MLO Wo'awacin Spiral
During the 2021-2022 School Year, Mahpiya Luta Owayawa (MLO) Immersion collaborated with Ha’hanna Consulting to evaluate the MLO Immersion Program. The objective was to address the need for a holistic, Indigenous approach to program evaluation. In response, Wo’awacin Spiral: Framework for Evaluation was designed and selected as a Lakota-compatible tool that uses a centralized approach for evaluating Indigenous language and culture programs. After Ha’hanna presented the Evaluation Report to staff, MLO requested that Ha’hanna oversee the 2022-2023 evaluation. The purpose of the next year's evaluation was to help identify strengths and areas of growth to guide the program in a positive direction. This is the report.

Liber Institute Mid-Year Implementation Review: Educator Interviews 2022-2023
From the Liber Institute: Interviewing educators allows us to practice deep listening where we listen to learn instead of listening to respond, solve, or “fix” something (Safir & Dugan, 2021). Interviewing educators provides insight into what is happening in the classrooms, which we pair with information from the administration team to recognize friction points and identify measures of success. Then we work with the community of stakeholders to map out a plan of action.
